Fall 2006 -- Myler Bits
"The creators of Myler Bits, Ron, Dale and Bob Myler, offer a philosophy behind each of their bits. The bit is a communication tool, and to effectively communicate with your horse, he must be relaxed. If your horse is resistant, he is not effectively receiving your message and needs a different bit which lets him relax."
Our first custom tool for handlers and trainers ... the Boundary Affirming Halter

The Hegeman Method's boundary affirming halter, modeled here by Matrix, retails for 45 US$ plus shipping and handling. It comes in Arabian, Cob, Horse, & Draft sizes. Models are also available in leather.
The boundary affirming halter enables exact head positioning for all Hegeman Method training. Chain reinforcement allows for clear communication between the handler/trainer and the horse. Washable fleece wrap creates a softer means of communication and is easily removable. This halter works great for smaller handlers/trainers who need more leverage when working the horse. It also helps those with shoulder or rotator cup issues.
| "I'm using the Hegeman halter on my 5 year old mare during training. I find it to be very effective. My mare associates the halter with work and shows an immediate change in attitude when wearing it. Whether it's standing for shoes, leading quietly or whatever, she understands that the Hegeman halter means "pay attention." I have found that the halter is an effective and kind way to handle my horse."
